A virtual University Grants Commission (UGC) meeting with the Vice Chancellors of Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET), Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) and Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) on Wednesday. An exchange meeting was held but no decision was finalized.

Student admission is being discussed with a single test for four universities in cluster-based exams. Earlier this month, 19 public universities across the country decided to take admission test on cluster basis to reduce the suffering and financial expenses of students and their parents. Earlier last year, seven agricultural universities in the country started admitting students through a single test on a common question on a cluster basis.

Students have to run for admission test from one university to another. So the universities are going towards exams in a bunch system
